Information

Nicholas Jeeves left Cambridge School of Art in 1994 with a degree in graphic arts and illustration. He began his career designing some of the UK's earliest commercial websites, as well as print projects for clients including The Royal Albert Hall and Virgin Publishing.

After five years as an active independent designer, he was invited by Cambridge School of Art to return as a visiting lecturer, and has continued there since. His graphic design, made under the company name 'Public', has been widely published and internationally acknowledged, with projects for clients including The Living Wage Foundation, Frank PR, Ellesse, Saatchi & Saatchi, Blackberry and the UK Film Council. Nicholas has also helped to develop D&AD's Student Awards briefs, and served on its jury. A major contributor to the Thames and Hudson book 'Graphic Design School', he has also tutored young designers at Milan's Accademia di Comunicazione and Ankara's Baskent University.

As of 10th December 2010, Nicholas has retired the name 'Public' and now works under his own name. His design practice will incorporate more experimental projects in 2011, while continuing to make clear, intelligent and finely-crafted works for a select list of clients.
